The reduced concentration of traffic quotas continues to be a characteristic factor of our airport system. In particular, Malpensa continues to be the airport with the most limited Available Seat Kilometres for the leading carrier among the main European airports (12.9%). Indeed, only 40.1% of the traffic offer is realized by the leading 5 airlines operating at the airport, compared with 58.8% in Geneva, 52.6% in Dusseldorf and 64.0% in Copenhagen (other European airports not classifiable as true hubs)14.
